Living the Mission of Jesus

At Memorial, we believe the Church doesn't exist for itself—we exist to make Jesus
known and to love people deeply. Our mission efforts reflect that calling, both across the
street and across the world. Every ministry we engage in is driven by relationships,
rooted in the gospel, and shaped by a desire to see lives transformed.

Local & Global Missions
Unhoused Ministry – Jefferson City

We are committed to building real, ongoing relationships with our unhoused neighbors
in Jefferson City. Through regular outreach, practical support, and intentional care, we
seek to reflect the love of Christ and restore dignity where it’s often lost.

“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his
deed.”
—Proverbs 19:17 (ESV)

“But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and
you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the
resurrection of the just.”
—Luke 14:13–14 (ESV)

Dominican Republic Church Partnerships

God has opened doors for us to serve alongside pastors and leaders in the Dominican
Republic. Our teams provide encouragement, training, and resources to strengthen
church leaders and help support new church plants across the region.

“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and
teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of
Christ.”
—Ephesians 4:11–12 (ESV)

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart
from it.”
—Proverbs 22:6 (ESV)

“So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in
every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”
— Colossians 1:10 (ESV)

Operation Christmas Child

Every year, our church family packs shoeboxes full of gifts and the hope of the gospel
for children around the world. It’s a small act with eternal impact.

“Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”
—1 John 3:18 (ESV)

Supporting SBC Mission Efforts

In addition to our local and global mission work, Memorial Church supports the broader
mission of the gospel through our partnership with the Southern Baptist Convention.
We joyfully give to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and the Annie Armstrong
Easter Offering, which directly support international and North American missionaries
as they share the good news of Jesus, plant churches, and meet tangible needs across
the globe.

“And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful
are the feet of those who preach the good news!’”
—Romans 10:15 (ESV)
