When musk oxen are threatened, they don't scatter and fight alone. They form a tight, outward-facing circle — every animal protecting the one beside it. That's closer to what Paul had in mind in Ephesians 6 than anything Hollywood has given us.

Paul wasn't writing to lone soldiers. He was writing to a family- the church. And the armor he describes was never a private kit. It's God's own armor, worn together, piece locking into piece, shield overlapping shield.

In this final message of the Ephesians series, Pastor David walks through the full armor of God — truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, the Spirit — and the vision of corporate prayer that follows it, closing out the letter on grace, peace, and love that never decays.

In this message:

  • Why every piece of armor belonged to God first - before it ever belonged to Rome
  • The belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, and gospel shoes — and what they mean for daily life
  • The Roman shield-wall (testudo) and why faith was never meant to be carried alone
  • Why the helmet of salvation defends the mind, not just the heart
  • How we are meant to be a family together- standing in battle as one in Christ
