Familified: One Body, One Father, One Family | 1 Corinthians 12

Familified: One Body, One Father, One Family | 1 Corinthians 12

Standalone Sermon - Sunday, July 26, 2026

Everybody came from a family. Some good. Some hard. Some you're still healing from.

Here's what the whole Bible keeps saying: family was God's idea first. And He has never stopped building one.

This Sunday, Pastor David brought the church together to celebrate kids and youth camp - and to show from Genesis to 1 Corinthians 12 that God has always been gathering His children. Kari (18 years in children's ministry) and Tisha (6 years leading youth) shared the vision and heartbeat of what's happening with the next generation. And a family in our church stood up and said what happens when a church actually lives this out - what it means to walk through something impossibly hard and not walk through it alone.

In this message:

  • The biblical flyover from Babel to Abraham - how God re-gathers what sin scatters
  • Why Judges 2:10 is the reason youth ministry exists - and why we refuse to be that generation
  • What 1 Corinthians 12 says about every member - including the youngest and the weakest
  • Tisha's four-word youth vision: head, heart, hands, and feet
  • Why your presence, your role, and your showing up matter more than you think

Key Scriptures:
Genesis 1:27–28; 12:3 • Deuteronomy 6:4–7 • Judges 2:10 • Mark 3:35 • John 1:12–13 • 1 Corinthians 12:12–27 • Ephesians 2:19; 3:14–15 • 1 John 3:1 • Colossians 2:6–7; 3:17

Foster Care Support

Hello Coyote Hill Partner!
Over the years, your generosity has made a lasting impact on the children and families served by Coyote Hill. Whether you've volunteered, donated, sponsored a family, or prayed alongside us, you've helped bring hope and stability to foster families in our community. Thank you.
As we prepare for the new school year, we have a very tangible need—and we're hoping you might be willing to help once again.
Many of our foster families in the Jefferson City area are welcoming children into their homes with little more than the clothes they're wearing. As school begins, these children need backpacks, school supplies, and other essentials so they can walk into the classroom feeling prepared and confident.
Would you consider partnering with us by:
  • Selecting one or more school supply lists to fulfill for a child or family, and/or
  • Sharing this opportunity with your congregation, employees, co-workers, friends, or other community members who may be looking for a meaningful way to make a difference.
Every backpack filled, every notebook purchased, and every list completed is one less burden for a foster family and one more reminder to a child that they are seen, valued, and supported.
If you'd like to help, simply reply to this email, and we'll send you a school supply list (or several!) to sponsor.
Thank you for continuing to stand with the children and foster families in our community. We truly couldn't do this without partners like you.
