Camp Rooted – Youth July 31-Aug 3:
Thursday – Arrive at Memorial at 12:30pm (eat before you come)
Sunday – Return to Memorial at noon
CO2 – Young Adults Aug 1-3:
Friday – you can arrive anytime you want on Friday afternoon.
Cave Exploration hopefully around 2pm. Dinner is at 6pm.
Packing List
- Bedding is provided but you may want to bring your pillow (The room is hotel style with bedding and 1 bath towel per person)
- Old Clothes
Wear old clothes on Thursday when you come to the church! – The first thing we will do is our mission project.
If you plan to play paintball or explore the cave – bring another set of old clothes AND a plastic bag to put them in afterwards. - Regular Clothes– t-shirts and shorts, under stuff, socks, jammies to wear in front of all your friends
- Closed toed tennis shoes are required for the cave and some activities.
- Swimwear
Girls – one-piece suit or a “tankini” that covers you well. If you don’t have a one-piece, wear a tank top or tshirt over your suit. If your swim attire is not distracting, you have succeeded. 🙂
Guys – the camp requires you to wear a shirt when you are not in the pool. - Sunscreen/Hat/Sunglasses – it is super hot and sunny this week and we will be outdoors
- Swim Towel (Bath towel is provided, swim towel is not)
- Smell good and look good stuff – Soap, shampoo, deodorant – please!
- Water bottle – we will be outside and it’s hot so bring a water bottle!
- Bible (if you need one we’ll give you one) & Pen
- Flashlight or headlamp – for the cave
- Snacks (optional)
- Money (optional) – only if you plan to do paintball (see below) or buy snacks. There is a snack bar and gift shop
- Cell Phones, headphones, chargers (sometimes these will be allowed)
A Watch if you do not have a phone – students will be required to get to events on time!
Medication & Food Allergies:
- Medicine – Give to Sara in ziplock bag on Thursday with name & instructions

Safety:
- We want everyone to be safe and healthy for a great camp experience. If a student is feeling sick, we will isolate them, check temperatures and possibly call a parent for pickup.
- Students may choose to explore the cave which will require crawling thru small spaces. Be prepared!
- Students may choose to do the high-ropes course. There are trained professionals from the camp running these activities.
- Students may choose to do the lake challenge course. Life jackets are required at the lake. Life guards are on duty.
- Students may choose to do paintball (additional fees below). It can leave welps. Jeans and a long sleeve shirt are highly recommended.

If you plan to play paintball, you will need extra money. All other activities are included in the camp fees. We will be playing Archery Tag which is free and very similar.
- Bronze includes gun, facemask rental, all day air fills – 200 paintballs $15
- Silver includes gun, facemask rental, all day air fills – 300 paintballs $25
- Gold includes gun, facemask rental, all day air fills – 400 paintballs $30
Meals:
If you have dietary restrictions, please contact students@memorialchurch.net with details asap. We cook breakfast and lunch in the lodge. Dinner will be at the dining hall and they are used to meeting dietary requests.
